John Hawkins Memorial Scholarship

The Rotary Club of Alice Springs has been offering the John Hawkins Memorial Scholarship to an outstanding Central Australian tertiary student for more than 20 years. It is named in honour of a past Rotarian the late John Hawkins who was a surgeon at the Alice Springs Hospital.
The scholarship is awarded in November with the first payment in Semester 1 of the following year.
Central Australian residents who have completed Year 12 and will be studying a Bachelor Degree at an approved tertiary institution in the following year are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
This scholarship cannot be deferred, so only apply for this Scholarship if you will start your studies in the next year. If you intend taking a gap year we encourage you to apply for the year you will start your tertiary studies. If you are offered and subsequently accept the John Hawkins Memorial Scholarship you agree not to accept other scholarships.
