The Bill van Dijk Post Graduate Education Award is awarded annually in recognition of a past Rotarian, the late Willem ('Bill') Van Dijk, for his services to Education.
After careful consideration the panel awarded the scholarship to Jeanette Shepherd for her Graduate Diploma of Emergency and Disaster Management at Charles Darwin University.

The Selection Panel, after much discussion, also awarded an encouragement award to Amy Wilson who plans on studying for a Bachelor of Primary Education (Hons) at the University of South Australia.
When you meet these applicants one realizes the impact that these scholarships can have on a person’s life. Education has many challenges and it is always very rewarding to receive their reports and to watch their progress.
