Imagine Rotary

Riki Salam (pictured left), a Brisbane-based artist, was commissioned to design the logo for the 2022-23 Rotary International President's theme.
It depicts a star above the horizon and represents leadership and a guiding light. The stars are an important navigational aid to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
The dots can also represent the people of Rotary and the circle represents that we are all connected and that together we can make a difference.
The green line is a digging stick, used by women to hunt and gather food. It represents hard work, provision and change. For Rotary, it is people of action getting things done.
The colours were chosen by RI President Jennifer Jones. They are the colours of the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU in the UK) introduced in 1908 - Purple represents loyalty and dignity, White represents purity and Green represents hope.

Rotary has been (and still is) instrumental in being a guiding light for positive change in the world - Our seven pillars (the seven dots) are:
  • Promoting peace,
  • Fighting disease. Eradication of polio
  • Providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene,
  • Saving mothers and children,
  • Supporting education
  • Growing local economies
  • Protecting the environment
